Beautifully crafted Deep House album by the Austrian producer duo Bitz & Redstar, including the summer hits Flamingo and Look at Me. An album perfectly suited for open airs, all kinds of beach settings, after hours and any of that lovely sunshine madness. First Music is a sub label of Leap Records.
“Pacific Tools” is the first double vinyl album of the Austrian producer duo Bitz & Redstar released via First Music, which already housed their thumping four-tracker “Winelight” EP (FIRSTVINYL001) back in April 2015. “Pacific Tools” takes the listener on an exotic journey to a beautiful place covering all different shades of deep house music.
Bitz & Redstar transplanted their studio equipment and tons of samples to a serene beach house located on the Pacific coast of Costa Rica and recorded the album in numerous live sessions during a 1-month stay. “Pacific Tools” combines shimmering deep house synths and funky samples with tool-oriented 909 grooves. The album reflects a one-of-a-kind journey, starting with deeper tunes that feature airy pads like in “Flamingo”, “Potrero”, “Tamarindo” and “Guanacaste”, while on the second half of the long player the mood shifts towards french house and funky, partyoriented tools like “Look at Me”, “Jaco”, and “Casa Suenoes”.
The album is rounded off with “Transformation“, a spaced out, low-swung groover that puts the listener on the plane back home, left aching for more.
